Mild Steel Electrodes  -  J506 AWS E7016

It's carbon steel electrodes with low hydrogen potassium type coating. The weld mental has superior mechanical properties and high crack resistant properties. It can be welded on both AC and DC. Welding can be done in all position. When used AC, the stability is inferior to that used DC.

Application:

Used to weld middle carbon steel and low alloy steel structure, such as 16Mn, 09Mn2Si etc.

Chemical Composition of melting metal:

C: 0.12%max

Mn: 1.60%max

Si: 0.75%max

S: 0.035%max

P: 0.040%max.

Note:

Before welding, it's necessary to clean the work piece and remove the impurityes such as oil, grease rust and moisture, bake the electrode at the terperature of about 350 degree C for one hour, carried out under short arc and suitable for narow path. Using DC, the electrode must be connected with positive polarity.
