Steel Electrodes  -  J506FeAWS E 7018

It's an excellent carbon steel electrode with iron powder low hydrogen potassium coating. It is used on both AC and DC in all position. As the coating contains iron powder, it has highly efficient welding and can reduce welding layers.

Applicantion:

Used to weld low carbon structure and low alloy steel structure. eg: 16Mn etc.

Chemical composition of melting metal:

C: 0.12%max

Mn: 1.6%MAX

Si: 0.75%max.

S: 0.035%max.

P: 0.040%max.

Note:

Before welding, necessary to clean the work piece and remove the impurities. eg.oil, grease rust and moisture etc, bake the electrode at the temperature of about 350C for one hour, it must be carried out under short arc and is suitable for narrow path.

The electrode must be connected with positive polarity for using.
