Low Alloy Steel Electrodes -- J556 ASW E8016-G

It's a low alloy steel electrodes with low hydrogen potassium type coating. It can be welded on both AC and DC. Welding can be done in all position. When used AC, the stability is inferior a little to that used DC.

Application:

Used to weld key structure of middle carbon steel and low alloy steel structure, eg: 15MnTi, 15MnV etc.

Chemical composition of melting metal:

C: 0.12%max

Mn: 1.0%min

Si: 0.30-0.70

S:0.035%max

P: 0.035%max

Note:

Necessary to clean the work piece and remove the impurities(eg.oil, grease rust, moisture etc), bake the electrode at the temperature of about 350^oC for one hour before using, and the welding must be carried out under short arc and suitable for narrow path.
